FREQUENT QUESTIONS
What Is Sim Racing?
Sim racing, short for simulation racing, is the ultimate blend of motorsports and cutting-edge technology. It replicates the feel of driving on real-world tracks using vehicles modeled with incredible precision. By leveraging advanced graphics and physics systems, sim racing delivers an immersive experience, whether you’re chasing lap times alone or competing head-to-head with others online.
Is this experience good for children?
We don’t limit based on age, but height is key! To comfortably reach the pedals, racers need to be at least 4’4". If you’ve used regular car pedals—like those in a car, truck, or kart—you’ll feel right at home in our setups.
I don't like video games. Is this like real driving?
This is full-blown race simulation. The systems we use are designed to replicate how real-world race cars handle on professional tracks. It’s as close as you can get to the real deal without actually being in the car.
Do I need racing or driving experience?
Not at all! Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned racer, we’ve got you covered. Our pit crew will walk you through the basics and make sure you’re confident and ready to hit the track.
Why use monitors instead of VR?
- Better Visual Clarity
Monitors typically offer higher resolution and sharper image quality compared to most VR headsets. This allows you to see important details like track markers, braking zones, and distant corners more clearly, which can significantly improve your performance. - Comfort for Extended Sessions
Wearing a VR headset for long periods can lead to discomfort, such as fatigue or motion sickness. Monitors eliminate this issue, allowing racers to stay focused and comfortable during longer practice sessions or endurance races. - Wider Field of View (FOV) Options
Triple-monitor setups provide a customizable and natural field of view, closely mimicking what you’d see in a real car. This expanded view helps with spatial awareness, making it easier to judge distances and stay aware of other cars around you. - No Motion Sickness or Eye Strain
VR can cause motion sickness or eye strain for some users, especially during intense racing sessions. Monitors offer a stable visual experience that doesn’t strain your eyes or make you feel unwell. - Easier to Set Up and Use
Monitors are more straightforward to set up and calibrate. You don’t need to worry about tracking sensors, headset adjustments, or compatibility issues, which can sometimes occur with VR setups. - No Isolation from the Real World
Unlike VR, monitors allow you to stay aware of your surroundings. Whether you’re grabbing a drink, checking on a teammate, or adjusting your rig, it’s easier to interact with the world around you. - Reduced Heat and Weight
VR headsets can get hot and heavy during long races. Monitors keep you cool and comfortable, ensuring that physical distractions don’t interfere with your performance.
